Registration for 29er World Championships in Aarhus is underway and the interest has already exceeded the 175 boat count of the last Worlds! As mentioned in our previous announcement (See below, or USA Ranking Announcement) the current expectation is that it will be an open event to all those who register. Should the organizers be required by government authorities to restrict attendance it is anticipated that the first 180 teams registered will be accepted and a waiting list will be taken first come first serve. In the event circumstances require attendance to be restricted any further registrations will be allocated to each country based on past attendance. In the latter scenario countries are being required to rank applicants from their respective country.
Accordingly the US 29er Class deadline for submitting applications to be included in the ranking is April 30th. Ranking applications can be submitted through this LINK. One form per team is acceptable. Rankings will be announced shortly after the class has submitted them to the International class no later than May 15th
Please note the International Class has asked us to highlight that registrations may not be altered. No substitutions or reallocation of helm/crew designation will be accepted, and changes will require teams to resubmit their registrations and drop to the bottom of the waitlist. If you need to make any changes to your current registration do so immediately.
